The Layup Technician produces quality parts that meet internal and external customer requirements and specifications and assists in coordinating the production flow of parts within the department.


Primary Functions
  • Accurately measure to produce quality products.
  • Accurately orient, measure, cut, and assemble fabrics into kits.
  • Ensure all paperwork and or labeling is in order for parts in process.
  • Maintain production goals for the department.
  • Use drawings and written instructions to fabricate composite parts.

Basic Competencies
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Possess grip strength adequate to hold and form fabric materials into molds.
  • Have good finger and wrist dexterity.
  • Grasp hand tools such as box knives and apply moderate pressure while cutting fabric.
  • Use plastic wedges and other hand tools to apply moderate pressure while conforming self-adhesive fabric materials into corners and other tool features.
  • Use scissors to cut heavy fabric materials.
  • Operate vibratory equipment such as orbital sanders and impact wrenches.
  • Must have no chronic dermatitis or sensitization to epoxy resins, fiberglass, graphite fiber, or contact adhesives.

Fiber Dynamics is in search of candidates with excellent communication and critical thinking skills.  Our Accountant assists the Controller by planning and executing controls of the accounting function and maintaining the accuracy of accounts.


Job Duties
  • Prepare, analyze, and report monthly schedules to management.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and post recurring and ad hoc journal entries.
  • Reconciliation of monthly sales and gross margin at part number level.
  • Analyze inventory transactions to reconcile against General Ledger.
  • Oversee weekly cycle counts and update inventory valuation.
  • Assist with detailed costing analysis for quoting and cost initiative purposes.
  • Backup AR/AP personnel and assist with any research/analysis.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience
  • 5 years of related accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Syteline or similar ERP system experience preferred
  • Report development experience is a plus – SQL, ECQ, Crystal Reports, etc.

Job Summary

Our Program Manager leads and oversees complex projects from inception to completion. This particular role will support aerospace-related projects. Also responsible for program execution, ensuring compliance with technical, budgetary, and schedule requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders.


Primary Functions
  • Program Leadership: Manage the full lifecycle of aerospace programs, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
  • Project Execution: Ensure project milestones, deliverables, and objectives are met within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams, customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks while ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage several projects to achieve winning proposals, program milestones and strategic division goals for profit and growth.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage program budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure cost-effective execution.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to drive program success.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to FAA, DoD, NASA, or other relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide regular status reports, presentations, and updates to senior leadership and customers.
  • Responsible for all aspects of assigned projects over the entire life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close).
  • Responsible for program P&L including but not limited to: Budgets, Actual Costs, Estimates to Complete (ETC), Invoicing, and Receivables.
  • Supports senior management with the customer and responsible for customer satisfaction.
  • Must deliver and communicate the committed business case and provide senior management within the organization with the necessary information for managing the business via formal Internal Program Reviews (IPR).
  • Responsible for Program planning, formulating, and maintaining the program plan, project schedule, and program budget.
  • Understand the role and function of each team member, and through expert communication and leadership skills, establish a common understanding among team members on scope, schedule, and financial objectives.
  • Manage project schedule and scope to ensure continued alignment with contract requirements and budgets. Work within the established program reporting. structure, providing concise, accurate program status, financial and forecast reports.
  • Monitor and assess program performance against plan (schedule and financial). Identify when corrective action is required and initiate necessary program changes, including re-allocation of resources when necessary to meet program schedule and financial objectives.
  • Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications and legal requirements.
  • Manage programs and subcontracts via proper flow-down of requirements, working with senior management.
  • Document all design/schedule/cost changes and communicate these changes to the customer and receive written customer approval on all changes prior to implementation.
  • Control expenditures within the limitations of the project budget and regularly report on project budget to actual performance via the ETC process.
  • Coordinate final acceptance documentation and ensure proper procedure is used in accordance with customer and contract specifics.
  • Actively participate in growth of the business by supporting customer development team approaches to new business opportunities with new and/or current customers.
  • Initiate formalization of PM processes and procedures that promote both organizational efficiency and agility.
  • Support related tasks such as strategic planning, revenue forecasting, expense management, and market research.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education, Experience & Skills Prerequisite
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace design, manufacturing, and certification processes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar.
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge
  • Project Management Professional or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and cost/schedule control
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ITAR, and other aerospace compliance standards
  • Experience managing Department of Defense, commercial aviation, or space programs
